Our Bracing Ride to Dubois

Togwotee Lodge to Dubois was a breeze.  Literally. We enjoyed a leisurely breakfast after a restful night and mounted our bikes, to finish our climb to the summit.  We had been told the day before that we would be taking another ride in the pilot pickup at the next construction site, so it was no surprise that after climbing another six miles or so, we came upon the zone.  A quick two mile ride took us over the summit.  Once we were back on the bikes it was all downhill to Dubois save for a few minor rises.  Funny thing, though.  We had such strong tail winds – 15 to 30 mph – climbing the rises was practically effortless.  We hope for favorable winds again tomorrow, because we have to traverse 97 miles to Shoshoni and there is no lodging between here and there.Climbing Togwotee Pass with the Tetons in the distance

Diane loves construction workers - especially those who horse her bike into the pilot truck.

The line of people waiting for us to load the bikes were not as happy.
Diane streaks down the back side of Togwotee leaving the Rockies behind her......

..... and cruises into Dubois.......where she shows the AGO Team the sites.

Yipee Ki Aeee!!!
