Diane Seeks Medical Assistance. Ogallala to North Platte

Today was a definite training ride! First the geological service data must be wrong.  It was to be a steady descent, but it wasn’t.  Second the wind was coming to our right shoulder, at about 6-15 mph.  Third, the last 20 plus miles was rough shoulder with a rumble strip separating us from good highway.  Nonetheless, we managed to average 11.9 mph, and arrived in North Platte in time for Diane to have her lab work done for her protime level and for her doctor to receive, evaluate and confer with Diane.  Except for crossing into Central Standard Time, the ride was otherwise uneventful.
Diane demonstrated good drafting skills today. Here she tucks in to avoid a SE wind. And below she shows how you use the Aero-bars to lower your profile to the wind.
Tomorrow promises more favorable winds. We hope for a long run. (And yeah it was Rob with the overdramatic headline. Just trying to grap your attention.) Diane Rob
